Book took me back when I was born between April 4 in Martin Luther King's assassination in June 6 I was alive doing my hero RFK ambush ...this book has opened my heart. this. great man like my hero . ...Robert FitzGerald Kennedy Was in those times soon as I was Born my father told me about history I learned to be in tr try to be more like him everyday compassionate and loving the people of America and across the world

The majority of the speeches found in this book are from 1964-1968 (Bobby's Senate years). What I can appreciate the most about these speeches is that the authors have provided substantial insight into the context and the circumstances when the speech was given. For instance, his June 6th speech on the Day of Affirmation in South Africa is preceded with detail of the chilly response he received. Included are the full text of his speech the day of MLK's assassination in Indiannapolis and his last speech on the day of the California Primary June 5, 1968.I remember fondly as an undergrad, renewing this book from the school library every three weeks for a year. I would also recommend the audio CD of RFK's speeches "In his own words".

What an outstanding book! It really doesn't matter where you stand on partisanship, policy, ideology, governance or America's role in the world - this is a must-read for anyone with a pulse. The words of Robert Kennedy, faithfully reproduced and contextualized in this volume, speak to what we think of as a unique time of intense political discourse, national tragedy and upheaval. Yet re-examining RFK's own words 50 years after his death puts a sharp point on their relevancy today. The authors have done a terrific job of conveying the sense of clashing social climes, pervasive injustices of inequality, and a tidal wave of desire for change that precipitate Robert Kennedy's transcendent speeches. I will keep this book for my grandchildren not only in the hope that we Americans will have licked the seemingly intractable problems RFK aimed to address, but to instill in them his notion that "The purpose of life is to contribute in some way to making things better." You will be thankful to have this book at hand.RFK: His Words for Our Times

Marjorie was found drown in her bath tub by her brother Aaron , they found out she was two months pregnant. Aaron was convinced she had been murdered by her boyfriend Max Colby , the courts found him not guilty. Seven years later Aaron is at a party and meets a girl Teri they get drunk and married. Later Aaron finds out she is the sister of Max and so he decides to stay married to her to get his revenge. This book has many twists and surprises a great story that ends with you feeling good.

I enjoyed this read . The characters are interesting, well-developed and have chemistry. The story is interesting, well-written with a happily ever after. In addition to receiving an arc, I purchased the book for my collection.

I have to say that I really loved this story. Even when Aaron was being an ass to Teri, I was forced by their corresponding emotions to keep reading. As for the climax of the story, I was on pins and needles. I got so anxious I had to take a break from reading! Thank you, Ms. Price for an emotional, original read. I truly enjoyed it!

The story starts off really good. Teri and Aaron get married during a drunken party game. She has no recollection, but he does. She hesitates getting divorced, but he decides they are not after finding out she is the sister of someone he hates. That is where the story goes downhill for me. Small details, like Terri moving in with him, but her sister never wanting to see the place. She is supposed to be an overprotective sister. The brother is also odd. She doesn’t have any contact with him, but this guy telling her to call him, gets her thinking about it. Not realistic.I also could not understand why Terri would put up with the stuff Aaron does. I also don’t get why he would not want to go with romance to get her to fall in love. What he does would normally push her away. I also could not believe he went on a beach getaway without his wife. He is a total jerk, and I don’t see her falling for him. I am voluntarily writing a review from an ARC.

He believed Max caused his sister's death and what better way to seek revenge then go after the sister of the man you want to take down. Stay married to Teri and get revenge was the perfect plan only Teri was sweet, sincere and a virgin. As my son grew older and more interested in colors, I looked for a book that would delight him as much as "Black on White" (also by Tana Hoban) had when he was an infant. I thought this book would fill that description, but it didn't quite fit the bill. It has great photographs, but no text.Despite the catchy, rhyming title, each page shows only a picture of the item: No rhyming text is involved. Although my son likes the brightly colored pictures, he is more interested when I read books with rhythmic texts, such as "Blue Hat, Green Hat" by Sandra Boynton.

We bought several books when my daughter was born, including several black and white titles. When she was about two months old, this one became her favorite. She's almost 5 months old now, and has a wider range of interests, but still enjoys this.I really like how the colors are presented as flat, one tone representations in the letters of the word of the color and in a small dot on the page, as well as a photograph. I'd imagine that looking at all the different variations a color can experience on a single object in real life will give babies a better sense of the concept.

So many books nowadays drown the child in information, pictures, characters, action....This one is so refreshingly simple. According to my boy, everything is blue, so I am hoping this book will help him distinguish the various colors. Love all books from Tana Hoban. The black and white infant books are also great, and my boy still picks them up every now and then, even though he is now 21 months.

This is an excellent book for learning colors and object recognition. The colors are accurate and the objects are basic ones for young toddler to know - shoe, leaf, flower, etc. My 3-month old enjoys looking at the simple pictures, but it will still be useful in a year when he's learning words and colors.

Nice picture book - sturdy, great pictures, colorful. Was very happy at the quality when I received it.

The book came very dirty with what looked like baby spit up all over it. It was not in fair condition. The pages were warped and filthy!

This was a "used" purchase for me, but the book is very clean [I used to buy "used" books in college that were really scruffy], It is very detailed and factual. It has maps, airline info, hotel recommendations [by your budget], wildlife sanctuaries, money matters, on and on. Also, a very good section on the ruins in Tikal, Guatemala which is just across the border. Tons of good information! Everything comes with phone numbers and/or internet addresses. I have already loaned the book twice to friends [and made darn sure I got it back, ha!]. I love this addition to my library.

I love traveling and Belize is just one of a few countries I don't hesitate to return to. It is a beautiful and lush country with friendly people and lots to do. This is a great book to introduce you to it and help you find things to do when there. What else can I say? I read this book before my first visit and read it again before another visit.Overall, I can recommend it without hesitation whether you are an armchair traveler or planning your first visit.

This guide is most suited to the roaming visitor who will only be spending a day or two at any one location. It gives recommendations for quick decisions on things to be done, and can be very useful for those looking for quick options. However, details on quality and prices are often lacking or are outdated. During a long stay in Belize, I found that we picked up some quick tips from the book, but soon relied on the more detailed information available on the internet.

We have used this book before which belonged to a friend. I wanted to purchase on for myself as we are in Guatemala for two months each year and since Belize is the neighboring country, we wanted to explore Belize. This book gives information on what to see, where to stay and how much one can expect to spend for food, lodging and such. I would recommend the book to anyone traveling to Belilze.

I thought the book was well written and represented a traveler's need fairly well. My only complaint is that I would have loved to read about more recommendations of things to do without a tour guide. Local insider spots and attractions, for example. Otherwise it was comprehensive and easy to navigate.

Very helpful

This book has a lot of information and is good for helping to determine what time of year is best to visit depending on what you want to do and see in Belize. It's a little outdated which was a disappointment. I'm not sure I would trust the recommendations for hotels and restaurants based on the age of the book.

I searched the trip advisor website for recommendations on a good guide book for Belize. Fodor's came highly recommended as Lan Sluder has spent a great deal of time in Belize. We are going to the inland/rainforest area and to the coast and this book covers it all.

Wonderful story! I really enjoyed her approach to sharing events in her life. What a tough cookie! I had no expectations that the book would be any more than what it was, a young, amazing girl telling her story as an athlete. Every once in a while I would remember that she is deaf and that would add to the incredible story, but she did not focus on that challenge; it was more about her journey in a very difficult and dangerous sport that she loves! I am so glad she retired in one piece and is giving back by teaching motocross to girls and women. You go girl!

My 16 year-old daughter is a reluctant reader at best, but a great motocross rider, riding since the age of 4. She has been fascinated by Ashley Fiolek since she was about 12, but never knew of her deafness until a couple of years later watching her on the podium! This is a well written biography that will interest most any child or parent for that matter. It shows the ups and downs of a child's motocross career from the first ride to a Pro career. It isn't a difficult read, but contains plenty of technical terms for readers familiar with motocross, while not confusing non-riders. I really enjoyed reading about Ashley's family's choices that helped her deal with her deafness and encouraging her unique talent. Well worth the read.

Bought this book for my 6 year old Daughter. Ashley is her all time favorite rider!!Ashley is her idol!!Great read, lots of encouraging words for younger girls as well as TRUTH and the hardship and sacrifices that goes into being a serious motocross competitor not just for the rider but their family as well. Ashley is an amazing talented rider and an absolutely wonderful role model for the younger female riders.

I absolutely loved this book! It's a terrific read for fans of motocross, but also tons of fun for those who don't know a lot about the sport - Fiolek does a wonderful job of explaining what certain motocross terms mean to welcome new fans. I've already read it twice. Fiolek's memoir is detailed and fun to read. It was worth every penny.

I enjoyed every page of your book; the ups and downs of motocross life, the successes, the setbacks all make it what it is. Your positive attitude and reflective nature make this book beautiful to read. As a woman who came to dirt bikes late in life, I crave female role models in this sport. Good book

I was recommended this book by a friend. I knew nothing about motocross before reading it but love biographies about fascinating personalities. Ashley's story is really cool and inspiring and it's a great example of someone who took a disability (her deafness in this case) and was able to turn it into an asset.Great read, I recommend it!

I brought this book to have another copy to bring with me to my home in Europe. It is a great book book with marvelous duets for the intermediate to advanced student. It even will be useful for professional players. My original copy was bought years ago. Unfortunately the print quality and binding has declined for the the copy I just bought. It will not be as durable as my original copy. Sad that producers today cannot maintain quality standards.

These are good to have on your stand for when you have someone to play with (or when teaching lessons). This is the Advanced book but is not too hard for decent high school players. I use it to sight read each lesson with my students.The music itself is nice but more of the traditional sense. If you'd something more modern, you should explore other books like those by Norman Heim.

love this book!! the parts are not too difficult...and since i am recently relearning the clarinet after a 30 year hiatus, it is a good thing!! would recommend it to those who just want to have a more serious kind of fun!!
