This one's hit or miss. There are several devotions that are decent, but it's not consistent. If you're looking for a biblically based devotional for your preschooler, this is *not* it. You'll be skipping parts or altering what the author wrote because she occasionally espouses a works-based view of salvation. In other words, you need to do something for God to respond favorably towards you. This isn't the God of the Bible. If you're looking for a devotional that teaches you that you can save yourself with good works - this is the one for you, but that is not Christianity - it's religion. The one thing that sets Christianity apart from *all* other religions is that Jesus did the ultimate righteous deed of dying on the cross for our sins so that we wouldn't have to "work" for salvation, as Crystal Bowman espouses at times. Ephesians 2:8,9- "For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not of your own doing; it is the gift of God, not the result of works, so that no one may boast."Cons:-Inconsistent theology throughout devotional-Espouses works-based theology which is unbiblical and unchristian-Encourages the view that you need to be good for God to help you or love you or be happy with you-"The more you read the Bible and pray, the more God will help you." - no God will help you if you call out to Him, period...not if you read your Bible more and pray more.-"But God doesn't want us to worry about riches. Being a good person is more important." -Being a good person is more important? Actually, having a relationship with God is *most* important. Being a good person isn't the goal. Knowing and loving God is the goal. Loving others is a natural outflow of knowing and loving God.Pros:-Nice pictures-Cute, rhyming prayers-Dated so you know where you left off

Great book to read every night with my 4 and 2 year old. Each page has its own story that's easy for kids to understand and then a bible verse is related to the story with a short prayer.

The best book for my 2 girls ages 2.5 and 4.5! It is such a great devotion for small children and explains things so easy with precious stories. All pages less then a page so it’s easy to keep your littles attention! They also use the same characters thru the book making it easier for your kids to follow/understand!

We use this devotional daily with our 3 & 5 year old boys. It's perfect for their ages! Short & sweet life applicable lessons with a bible verse and prayer. The illustrations are cute and colorful! I can see us using this for years to come. Great children's daily devotional!!!

This book is great for starting conversations about God and our walk as Christians. I like how verses accompany the stories. The daily prayers rhymed and are great for kids to repeat. I worry a bit about a few of the messages making God's love almost conditional, but as a parents I feel that's my duty to communicate in a deeper way so it doesn't hold me back from using those days. I'm thankful for this book providing consistency and format to our time with Christ.

I read these devotionals daily with my 3 year old little boy. He is currently very interested in learning about Jesus and reading Bible stories, so of course I want to facilitate this as much as possible! :) We do our pocket calendar time, sing our days of the week/months of the year song, and then do our devotional. These devotions are short and sweet, and the perfect length for the young child. Each story ends with a bible verse and a prayer (usually rhymes in some way). The book uses the same handful of children throughout the book, which I think is a positive attribute for preschoolers. They are able to become familiar with the characters as they read each story. Overall, I definitely recommend this devotional.

I really love this book. I wanted to incorporate devotionals into my day with my daughters (age 2 & 4.5) but I was having a hard time with consistency. They both love this book and they are the ones asking for it, so I don't have to try and remember. We try to do it during meal time, but I'll do it any time they ask. It's also nice to teach them patience. My oldest will want me to read ahead and I get to teach her about looking forward to the day when we get to read whatever story she's looking at. The illustrations are very cute and my 2 year old will sit and look at the pictures for a long time by herself. But most importantly, the devotionals are high quality, point my children to Jesus and teach them of the great love God has for them. There is a bible verse and prayer with each devotional too. We've been using this book for months, and I'm confident we'll get several years of use out of it. I plan to make it one of my go-to gift items for other little kids.

I like this book for a couple of reasons. I like that the topics are age appropriate for a 4 year old. I like that there are specific dates so we know what to read every day. I like that there this a concept introduced and that there is a prayer and verse associated with each. I like that each prayer rhymes. I also like the diversity presented in the children in the book.If you are looking for a daily devotional for your 3 - 6 year old, this is perfect.

As a trained hypnotist (giving me a beyond average understanding of the subconscious, and in my particular training, the superconscious), and someone who has had kinesiology used many, many times successfully, by numerous alternative health practitioners over many years, I found this book to be quite profound. It wove many different things I am quite familiar with into a much broader fabric, and deeper understanding - confirming so much that I already know, but carrying it much farther as well.It's hard for me to say if this would be a great resource for someone who is new to these subjects. However, if you have exposure to this vein of thought, this is an excellent read. I would expect, that if you are interested enough to have made it as far as reading reviews, it's probably a good pick.

Since I bought this book I've read it several times and use it as a practical guide in life. I consider it a MUST read for everybody. It teaches the technique for discerning if any statement, book, or historical record is true or untrue, if a product or service is beneficial or a fraud, etc. etc Once you've learned the technique you'll carry within you a navigation gage for all of life's choices.

This probably won't be a popular book to a lot of people, but I pray a lot of people do want to read this type of book. It's a spiritual book that has helped me tremendously to get out of 30 years of depression.

Learn about ENERGY - the power of the Universe, how we relate with each other by the energy we exist as, how we can improve ourselves, and live happier lives in this realm and in the one we pass on to, by understanding the principles Dr. Hawkins teaches from his findings written about in this book. I've given away four of them so far, and plan to give away more, as it is such an amazing book. Not a religious book - a scientific study book - this shows how science and philosophical study are one and the same, and how we can make choices to greatly improve our lives and outcomes.

If you're forcing anything it's the wrong approach because you are just creating resentment at the same time. Living things seek power and avoid force. We all hate to be forced yet respect power. Allow yourself to be a gentle, beautiful, powerful guidepost.

If the movie Inside Out helps us acknowledge our 5 basic emotions, this book helps us acknowledge different levels of energy that we may never associate with emotions. As a sensitive, it helps me recognize different energy types I get from myself as well as from others. As a social science enthusiast, it helps me recognize our collective unconscious (refer to Jung's definition), as in a town/city or a country. A must read if you keep questioning why we're so different in responding to life!

I am very excited about the trip and now I am practicing the phrases to anyone who cares to listen. Thank you for this wonderful language book!

This book is very interesting and typically suitable for those who want to learn just the basics of spanish for a quick tour in Costa Rica. I like that it is focusing on the most needed phrases for an English speaking tourist. But I had some difficulties in pronouncing some of the phrases and words, I think the author should have written each phrase pronunciation along with the translation.

I bought this for my family's trip because I'd heard there are local-isms in the language that it would be helpful to know. This book is just standard spanish--nothing unique to Costa Rica whatsoever. Also several typos!! Do they just put a different cover on the same book of Spanish phrases depending on what people order? I'm returning mine for a refund.

If you want a book that tells you everything from what T cell is to the incubation period for measles, this book is it.I learned so much information from this book that I though I "knew" except that when I started reading, I realized I didn't really know. I have always used the words "infectious disease" interchangeably with "communicable disease" and I don't see how I could have gotten this far in my career without knowing something as simple as how to differentiate the two!Honestly, I would probably buy the whole book just for the chapter on immunity. It was the easiest explanation I've ever seen. Was I supposed to have learned this in school? I sure didn't! I'm not dumb, I'm just not smart enough to get all of the complicated non-clinical mumbo-jumbo. This book made it entirely readable and comprehensible.I bought this book because I felt I had to. I teach a breastfeeding and lactation course, and I was struggling with simple issues like routes of transmission, and the effectiveness of simple actions to protect the newborn from the mother's disease. I ended up being really intrigued by the material presented, including special features, such as the "Alerts" and the "Case Studies" and the "Newsmakers." Trust me, this author has a great way of making the dull and complicated seem interesting and easy to understand.

This is a good basic book that does not go into too much detail about any of the subjects. It tends to discuss the governmental programs a bit too much in my opinion. The book is quickly becoming outdated while discussing certain contemporary infections (doesn't include anything on the recent influenza epidemics)and needs to be updated. This field changes quickly and this book needs an update. Otherwise the book is good for a basic outline and 1 credit classes. The problem is there aren't many other books like this one for this subject.

Good overview for someone taking a new job in Infection Control. It helps create a new way of looking at infection rates and is easy to read. It explained many types of infections and would even be a good book for a new graduate nurse or intern. The book was detailed but not too detailed so it was lengthy or wordy. It was short, sweet, and right to the point.

This was a book I randomly picked up at borders because I thought the cover looked pretty. It sounded too expensive to me at the time, but I keep thinking about it, so I'm biting the bullet and purchasing it so I can pull it out when the thought strikes...

I had seen some posters of this artist's work but hesitated to buy one because I couldn't decide which I liked best and they were a little expensive - and then I found this book in a coffeeshop and fell in love. Her intricate paper-cuts look almost like woodblock prints - they are bold and often simple. Her use of line is wonderful. I love her work!
