As a trained hypnotist (giving me a beyond average understanding of the subconscious, and in my particular training, the superconscious), and someone who has had kinesiology used many, many times successfully, by numerous alternative health practitioners over many years, I found this book to be quite profound. It wove many different things I am quite familiar with into a much broader fabric, and deeper understanding - confirming so much that I already know, but carrying it much farther as well.It's hard for me to say if this would be a great resource for someone who is new to these subjects. However, if you have exposure to this vein of thought, this is an excellent read. I would expect, that if you are interested enough to have made it as far as reading reviews, it's probably a good pick.

Since I bought this book I've read it several times and use it as a practical guide in life. I consider it a MUST read for everybody. It teaches the technique for discerning if any statement, book, or historical record is true or untrue, if a product or service is beneficial or a fraud, etc. etc Once you've learned the technique you'll carry within you a navigation gage for all of life's choices.

This probably won't be a popular book to a lot of people, but I pray a lot of people do want to read this type of book. It's a spiritual book that has helped me tremendously to get out of 30 years of depression.

Learn about ENERGY - the power of the Universe, how we relate with each other by the energy we exist as, how we can improve ourselves, and live happier lives in this realm and in the one we pass on to, by understanding the principles Dr. Hawkins teaches from his findings written about in this book. I've given away four of them so far, and plan to give away more, as it is such an amazing book. Not a religious book - a scientific study book - this shows how science and philosophical study are one and the same, and how we can make choices to greatly improve our lives and outcomes.

If you're forcing anything it's the wrong approach because you are just creating resentment at the same time. Living things seek power and avoid force. We all hate to be forced yet respect power. Allow yourself to be a gentle, beautiful, powerful guidepost.

If the movie Inside Out helps us acknowledge our 5 basic emotions, this book helps us acknowledge different levels of energy that we may never associate with emotions. As a sensitive, it helps me recognize different energy types I get from myself as well as from others. A must read if you keep questioning why we're so different in responding to life!

What an interesting read. This book really captured me and drew me in. I have always felt that I have the power over my life, whether it is through manifestation or self empowerment. I had those tools to better my life and get yes or no answers. This book just gives me even more information about how to do it, how to muscle test, The levels of consciousness and maps. Highly recommend this book if you want to use your power in life and take charge!

I got this book so as to prepare me mentally and linguistically for the trip.This book is short but very useful since the phrases included are the basic ones needed for travelling and getting important points across when in a foreign land. I am very excited about the trip and now I am practicing the phrases to anyone who cares to listen. Thank you for this wonderful language book!

This book is very interesting and typically suitable for those who want to learn just the basics of spanish for a quick tour in Costa Rica. I like that it is focusing on the most needed phrases for an English speaking tourist. But I had some difficulties in pronouncing some of the phrases and words, I think the author should have written each phrase pronunciation along with the translation.

I bought this for my family's trip because I'd heard there are local-isms in the language that it would be helpful to know. This book is just standard spanish--nothing unique to Costa Rica whatsoever. Also several typos!! Do they just put a different cover on the same book of Spanish phrases depending on what people order? I'm returning mine for a refund.

If you want a book that tells you everything from what T cell is to the incubation period for measles, this book is it.I learned so much information from this book that I though I "knew" except that when I started reading, I realized I didn't really know. I have always used the words "infectious disease" interchangeably with "communicable disease" and I don't see how I could have gotten this far in my career without knowing something as simple as how to differentiate the two!Honestly, I would probably buy the whole book just for the chapter on immunity. It was the easiest explanation I've ever seen. Was I supposed to have learned this in school? I sure didn't! I'm not dumb, I'm just not smart enough to get all of the complicated non-clinical mumbo-jumbo. This book made it entirely readable and comprehensible.I bought this book because I felt I had to. I teach a breastfeeding and lactation course, and I was struggling with simple issues like routes of transmission, and the effectiveness of simple actions to protect the newborn from the mother's disease. I ended up being really intrigued by the material presented, including special features, such as the "Alerts" and the "Case Studies" and the "Newsmakers." Trust me, this author has a great way of making the dull and complicated seem interesting and easy to understand.

This is a good basic book that does not go into too much detail about any of the subjects. It tends to discuss the governmental programs a bit too much in my opinion. The book is quickly becoming outdated while discussing certain contemporary infections (doesn't include anything on the recent influenza epidemics)and needs to be updated. This field changes quickly and this book needs an update. Otherwise the book is good for a basic outline and 1 credit classes. The problem is there aren't many other books like this one for this subject.

Good overview for someone taking a new job in Infection Control. It helps create a new way of looking at infection rates and is easy to read. It explained many types of infections and would even be a good book for a new graduate nurse or intern. The book was detailed but not too detailed so it was lengthy or wordy. It was short, sweet, and right to the point.

This was a book I randomly picked up at borders because I thought the cover looked pretty. It sounded too expensive to me at the time, but I keep thinking about it, so I'm biting the bullet and purchasing it so I can pull it out when the thought strikes...

I had seen some posters of this artist's work but hesitated to buy one because I couldn't decide which I liked best and they were a little expensive - and then I found this book in a coffeeshop and fell in love. Her intricate paper-cuts look almost like woodblock prints - they are bold and often simple. Her use of line is wonderful. I love her work!

The seller gets a 5 star, and this is by far a BETTER version than the more recent ones. Too much politics in them. This has less of the environmentalism religion and more of the science. Arrived on time and as expected.

This is a good, well-written textbook with a lot of great illustrations and diagrams. However, the book is written on a very basic level, and only provides a very superficial coverage to current environmental science topics. I would not recommend this textbook for upper-level high school students. For teachers, this textbook also includes a resource CD with Powerpoints, tests, quizzes, and other worksheets.

Got this book for my nephew. He was thrilled. He needed it for school. Nice price point too. Anything for the kids.

I love the Rough Guides, Moon Guides, and Lonely Planet. The only problem is, they often assume you're going for 3 weeks or 6 months. I can seldom get away for more than 8-10 days at a time. Fodor's doesn't just dump a lot of destination info on you. They help you prioritize by listing "must-see" sights and presenting multiple alternative itineraries for trips of different lengths, etc.Last December, Fodor's SE Asia guide helped me figure out that the Thailand-Malaysia-Singapore odyssey we wanted just wouldn't fit comfortably into 10 days. So we postponed that trip until someday when we have at least 2 or 3 weeks. Instead, we simply flew into Bangkok and immediately booked a 3-day Phnom Penh/Angkor tour. In all, we did 3 days each in Cambodia and Bangkok and 4 days in Tokyo. It was a fabulous trip.This time I'm using Fodor's Japan, together with the Moon and Rough Guides (and of course the Internet), to plan a 10-day solo trip to Hokkaido. From Fodor's I get the highlights, along with a good idea of what I can expect to fit into 10 days. From the other two I get obscure (but equally important!) details, such as the fact that the little farming town of Furano (not mentioned in Fodor's) gets a lot of Japanese tourists because it was the setting for the long-running TV drama Kita no Kuni Kara (From the North Country). I've only seen a few early episodes of that show, but it's enough that now I want to see Furano too.To sum up, I use Fodor's as my starting point, then read other guides to get extra details. I've done 2 Asia trips this way, and I'll be doing the 3rd one very soon.
