In her latest offering, Victoria Bylin takes on two very heavy issues: abortion and STDs. Not the typical stuff found in contemporary Christian romance, but both issues are tastefully handled and point to the fact we all need a savior. Some people may shy away from this book because of the topic, but I really hope most people won’t. Bylin doesn’t glorify the sexual promiscuity of her characters. She shows the real consequences that occur as a result of it. Too many books today glorify sex outside of marriage, where the characters can hop into bed with one person after another and never face any negative consequences. But reality is there are often dire consequences for believing the lie, “It’s my body and I can do what I want with it.†Bylin shows us that side. Ultimately, it is a multi-faceted love story between a man and a woman, between family, between friends, and between God and his creation. Five-stars for a great love story and for tackling two heavy topics.
Wow what a book. I have loved all of Victoria’s contemporary novels. This one is by far my favorite. MJ is a single mom moving back to Riley Wyoming when she meets Shane. He is a recovering from a knee injury. As they grow closer together, You can just see how God is working within both of them. Along with a wonderful cast of supporting characters each of whom have their own struggles. They come together in the most wonderful ways. This is a must read.
I just finished “When He Found Me†and WOW, what a ride!!! I loved the flawed people and their struggles! The 2nd chances, the hope and the faith that Victoria wove through all the pain, heartache....I felt every thing that MJ, Shane, Cody, Daisy, Lyn and Olivia went through! I am a fan forever of Victoria’s wonderful books. Keep them coming!!!

Wow, what an incredible story! I was sucked in from the first page and hated to put the book down! This review may be a bit on the short side, simply because I don't know if I can find the words to do this beautiful book justice. This story is told in alternating POV from the perspectives of MJ, her mother Olivia, Shane, and his sister Daisy, and I was captivated by all of their stories! This book has it all, tremendous depth, a lovely romance, forgiveness, reconciliation, characters that become like friends to the reader, a strong faith story, love, hope, new beginnings, I could go on and on! Words truly cannot express how much I loved this book! Without giving too much away I will just say that this is a book that everyone, especially every woman should read! I can't recommend When He Found Me highly enough, read it and your life will be impacted for the better! Such a wonderful, amazing read, and I can't wait for the next novel in the Road to Refuge series!Note: While there is nothing graphic in this book, the subject matter is very raw and real. For this reason I don't recommend this one for readers under the age of 16.I received an ebook copy of this book from the publisher which did not influence my review in any way. All thoughts and opinions are one hundred percent my own.
